2008 NEC Changes - 16hr - Oregon
Beacuse of the many different types of electrical licenses in Oregon LERC has put together 2 different 2008 NEC Code Change classes. This course it the 16 hour class. It includes all the changes required by the State including the Oregon Electrical Speciality Code including the adoption changes to the NEC that will take precidence in Oregon. This course is meant to be taken by those licenses requiring 16 or more CEUs for Oregon license renewal. It is required that each student have a copy of the 2008 NEC. COST $150

2008 NEC Changes - 8 hr - Oregon
This course is written for JME, JMBE, LEA, LEB, LTR, SIG licensed personnel in Oregon. This will complete all the CODE CHANGE requirements of a license cycle. This course has two specific parts. The first is big - it is the changes to the NEC that happened between 2005-2008. The second smaller part is made up of three parts: 1) what the different licenses above are LEGAL to do in Oregon. 2) The changes to the new NEC that are specific to Oregon Licensees working within the state. 3) a outline on what types of electrical permits there are in Oregon, their uses, and how to apply for them. Tennessee Burglar Alarm Qualification Course

West Virginia Burglar/Fire Electrician Course
The State of West Virginia requires anyone installing, maintaining, repairing a Burglar or Fire Alarm System to be a licensed electrician with that endorsement. This multi module course meets the requirements of 50% of the apprenticeship time to qualify for the exam. A person completing this course has only to do one year (2000 hours) of apprenticeship instead of the normal 2 years (4000 hours). The course is made up of the following class modules: 2008 NEC (1 module), NFPA 72- Fire Alarm Code (3 modules), electrical calculations (1 module), access control (1 module). The modules can be taken in any order. Upon completion of the course LERC will mail the student a Certificate of Completion. That certificate (a color copy of the cert) along with the state license application information should be sent to the state in order to sit for the license exam. The approximate length of time of this total course is 50 hours. You will have 45 days from the day you sign up to complete the course.
